According to the AA there are over 4000 caravans stolen in the UK every year, the majority of these quickly disappear and are never seen again, presumably they are exported. There are a number of tracking systems that market caravan owners but most only have communication coverage in the UK, so if a caravan is sent abroad then the tracking system is useless. Competitive Tracking’s communication has full roaming activated so tracking does not stop at the sea.
This unit can be covertly fitted and can be powered by the caravan’s internal battery, the unit also has its own battery that will last up to 5 years even if the caravan battery goes flat or is not connected.
All our clients have access to our Spoton software and can track the caravan both in real time and historically on our full Google mapping system. Using the software, the client can also set up some alerts which can be sent via email, text or both if the client pre-set alerts are broken. Many different alerts can be set up i.e. if a caravan moves out of set times, if a caravan goes outside a client set perimeter, if the caravan gets towed away and many more.
